Spectators: 6719 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nestor Carver took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hastings FC's Lyman Key got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. King Strange blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelino Rowan having to make a save. Moses Schneider might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelino Rowan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moses Schneider ran back to his position shaking his head. 8 minutes into the match, Jared Sheppard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jasper Jarvis. Ottawa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jared Sheppard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Hastings FC's goalkeeper Marcelino Rowan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by King Strange. After 18 minutes, King Strange made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hastings FC's Marcelino Rowan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When King Strange came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Ottawa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that King Strange couldn't finish the play. Jasper Jarvis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jared Sheppard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jared Sheppard might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jasper Jarvis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jared Sheppard ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelino Rowan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barnabé Flanagan's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Marcelino Rowan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from King Strange went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jared Sheppard to strike the kick off in the second half. Jasper Jarvis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jared Sheppard in the 52nd minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Jared Sheppard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hastings FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Marcelino Rowan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Carver in the 56th minute of play. Ottawa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kraig Desrosiers in the 58th minute. The corner ended in Kraig Desrosiers almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hastings FC's Marcelino Rowan did a great save. Marcelino Rowan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Carver, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Hastings FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Carver came free, but Marcelino Rowan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hastings FC's Marcelino Rowan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by King Strange in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute King Strange shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Rowan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. King Strange received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Marcelino Rowan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jared Sheppard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jared Sheppard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hastings FC's Jared Sheppard got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute Nestor Carver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Rowan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jared Sheppard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jasper Jarvis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If King Strange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Hastings FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Ottawa from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
