Spectators: 6739 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Léonard Lazure got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Shunacadie AFC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Régis Martinez hit a great ball. Shunacadie AFC's Theodore Dalton got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Léonard Lazure left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vonda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Titus Grant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute Lou Castle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruce Lemelin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vonda fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! Lou Castle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Daigneault was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shunacadie AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vonda the free kick. In the 38th minute, Rigoberto Daigneault hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Efren Talbot fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shunacadie AFC's protests and gave Efren Talbot a yellow card for diving instead. Efren Talbot hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Lou Castle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Bruce Lemelin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Léonard Lazure managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vonda's supporters rose to their feet, but Léonard Lazure was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruce Lemelin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Léonard Lazure fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruce Lemelin having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Lou Castle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mark Greene to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, Vonda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Boyle to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Léonard Lazure in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruce Lemelin saved Shunacadie AFC from getting behind. After 64 minutes, Titus Grant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shunacadie AFC and the Vonda players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Shunacadie AFC's Titus Grant got a free kick in the 64th minute. Bruce Lemelin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silas Boyle in the 74th minute. After 77 played minutes Shunacadie AFC got a freekick which was hit by Titus Grant. In the 80th minute, Régis Martinez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lou Castle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Vonda's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Greene came free, but Duane Kellogg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Léonard Lazure struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Bruce Lemelin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vonda. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lou Castle got free with Bruce Lemelin in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shunacadie AFC's Bruce Lemelin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Shunacadie AFC from getting a goal against them. Titus Grant got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.
