The referee ignored Weldon AFC's protests and gave Olin Garceau a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Weldon AFC's Olin Garceau got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th match minute, Weldon AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olin Garceau to maneuver through the defense. Williams Dozier took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Collin Mothé. Weldon AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 18 minutes, Raymon Golden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Weldon AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymon Golden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Frank Guillory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Erasmo Kennedy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Collin Mothé was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
