If Perry Hays had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Warren Bush could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Collin Mothé made a huge save. 24 minutes into the match, Matador's Warren Bush sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Collin Mothé narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guillermo Garnier hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute Fernando Wilson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Brewer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Perry Hays was the one to do the kick off. Matador's Dennis Brewer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Matador from getting a goal against them. After having played for 60 minutes, Guillermo Garnier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Weldon AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo Garnier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Wilson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Brewer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Collin Mothé showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perry Hays, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Olin Garceau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Weldon AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matador the free kick. Olin Garceau kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match.
