After a defensive mix-up in Markstay's zone, Marshall Kirkland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keenan McHugh came out of the goal and Marshall Kirkland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th match minute, Westholme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leslie Malone to maneuver through the defense. Westholme's Rolland Britt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Harper in the 19th minute of play. Jason Harper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jason Harper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolland Britt having to interfere. Leslie Malone's late challenge caught a Markstay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leslie Malone helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Westholme getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Leslie Malone hit a great ball. Brenton Brandt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Rolland Britt made a huge save. Rolland Britt made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Brenton Brandt sent off a good shot on target. Leslie Malone hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Brenton Brandt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolland Britt having to interfere. When Wilbur Plourde fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westholme's protests and gave Wilbur Plourde a yellow card for diving instead. Wilbur Plourde kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jason Harper in the 58th minute of play forced Westholme's goalkeeper Rolland Britt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolland Britt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brenton Brandt, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Brenton Brandt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Swain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Keenan McHugh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Westholme defense, Jason Harper kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolland Britt. The Westholme fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolland Britt should have stopped the shot. If Jason Harper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the game, Jason Harper cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Rolland Britt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rolland Britt didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Markstay's Brenton Brandt shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Jason Harper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brenton Brandt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rolland Britt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Westholme's goal looked a bit too open when Jason Harper came free, but Rolland Britt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Markstay had won after a very even match.
