Kendall Beal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Val Heller's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Codroy's zone, Haywood Compton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frances Fortune came out of the goal and Haywood Compton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th match minute, Codroy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrad Palacios to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Conrad Palacios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Val Heller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francis Davila struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Kendall Beal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Codroy. In the 32nd minute, Haywood Compton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Francis Davila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Codroy's supporters rose to their feet, but Francis Davila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kendall Beal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes into the match, Chicotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Val Heller came free, but Kendall Beal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Codroy's Frances Fortune got control of the ball when Haywood Compton tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Codroy's zone, Dewey Kimball stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frances Fortune came out of the goal and Dewey Kimball tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Conrad Palacios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Codroy's Frances Fortune proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Codroy from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dewey Kimball made the kick off in the second half. Val Heller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Kendall Beal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Chicotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Val Heller came free, but Kendall Beal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francis Davila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Kendall Beal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haywood Compton in the 75th minute of play forced Codroy's goalkeeper Frances Fortune to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Dewey Kimball got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robert Dawson, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Francis Davila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chicotte FC's Kendall Beal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Chicotte FC from getting a goal against them. Santiago Mock's late challenge caught a Codroy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santiago Mock helped the player get up and apologised. Francis Davila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Kendall Beal made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Val Heller in the 93rd minute of play forced Chicotte FC's goalkeeper Kendall Beal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dewey Kimball's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frances Fortune read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Codroy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Codroy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
