Donovan Sheridan started the match with the kick off. Joseph Heath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Lunenburg AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Shirley Flynn hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Lunenburg AFC's Fernand Provencher got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 18thth minute of the game Joseph Heath who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lunenburg AFC's Felipe Cortes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joseph Heath fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Cortes having to interfere. After some careless play in the Lunenburg AFC defense, Joseph Heath kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felipe Cortes. The Lunenburg AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felipe Cortes should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Chimo's goal looked a bit too open when Donovan Sheridan came free, but Antwan Baez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donovan Sheridan might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antwan Baez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donovan Sheridan ran back to his position shaking his head. If Stacy Redd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd match minute, Chimo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milford Fraser to maneuver through the defense. Gavin ForestLaforest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antwan Baez having to interfere. Gaylord Denson's late challenge caught a Lunenburg AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaylord Denson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th minute, Gaylord Denson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joseph Heath stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 0-2 became the score in the 58th minute when Joseph Heath elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gavin ForestLaforest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antwan Baez having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Lunenburg AFC got a freekick which was hit by Keith Carlton. In the 67th minute Chimo were awarded a corner. Jame Garreau went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Jame Garreau got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Felipe Cortes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After recieving a nice pass, Lunenburg AFC's Keith Carlton tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Gavin ForestLaforest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lunenburg AFC booed when Chimo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthieu Granger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keith Carlton struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Antwan Baez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lunenburg AFC. After 79 played minutes Lunenburg AFC got a freekick which was hit by Shirley Flynn. In the 81st minute Joseph Heath shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Cortes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Eduardo Flaherty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joseph Heath fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Cortes having to interfere. If Joseph Heath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Lunenburg AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chimo's performance. The match ended with a win for Chimo.
