Markstay
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jason Harper made the kick off and thus started the match. 8 minutes into the game, Jason Harper recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Frances Fortune. Jason Harper showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 13 minutes, Jason Harper made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Codroy's Frances Fortune tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Brenton Brandts short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Frances Fortune to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 17 in the game by Brenton Brandt from a close distance when the talented Frances Fortune managed to make a qualified save. Codroy's players were relieved. Brenton Brandt scored 3-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frances Fortune, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd match minute, Codroy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rod Atkinson to maneuver through the defense. Francis Davila took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Keenan McHugh. Keenan McHugh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After 33 minutes, Chris Cordova mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Markstay and the Codroy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute Val Heller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keenan McHugh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Val Heller made a precise shot to the right of Keenan McHugh. Markstay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After 44 minutes of play Markstay's Chris Cordova was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Markstay getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Chris Cordova hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Val Heller was the one to do the kick off. Frances Fortune didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brenton Brandt went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. When Markstay's Brenton Brandt in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Codroy's goalie prevented a goal. Corentin Eddy hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Victor Cavazos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frances Fortune having to interfere. Victor Cavazos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Codroy's Conrad Palacios got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenton Brandt in the 63rd minute of play forced Codroy's goalkeeper Frances Fortune to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frances Fortune stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brenton Brandt's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Brenton Brandt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Frances Fortune tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frances Fortune took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jasper Ivey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Brenton Brandt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frances Fortune was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. If Brenton Brandt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Cavazos scored 6-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frances Fortune, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Markstay's Brenton Brandt in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Codroy's goalie prevented a goal. Brenton Brandt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 played minutes Markstay got a freekick which was hit by Russel Reese. In the 96th minute, Grady Yoder sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Markstay's Keenan McHugh didn't even have to move. When the referee ended the match the Markstay players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
