Jose Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frances Fortune having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Solomon Dubose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Codroy's Grady Yoder tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Codroy getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Val Heller hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Johnie Griffith successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With his leg Johnie Griffith managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Codroy's Val Heller fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Francis Davila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Codroy's supporters rose to their feet, but Francis Davila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnie Griffith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frances Fortune took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Blanco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Jamaal McNeal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frances Fortune was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cann AFC's Johnie Griffith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Val Heller in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Codroy's goal looked a bit too open when Jamaal McNeal came free, but Frances Fortune reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 minutes of play, Cann AFC's Jose Blanco made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frances Fortune was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 45 minutes, Conrad Palacios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Codroy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrad Palacios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 minutes, Parker Cronin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Codroy and the Cann AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Codroy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cann AFC:s goal. The referee gave Cann AFC a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Demetrius Beauchesne, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Codroy's Frances Fortune. 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jamaal McNeal to make the kick off. Francis Davila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnie Griffith having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamaal McNeal in the 62nd minute of play forced Codroy's goalkeeper Frances Fortune to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnie Griffith stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francis Davila's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Francis Davila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conrad Palacios struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Johnie Griffith didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Codroy. Val Heller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Johnie Griffith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francis Davila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Val Heller struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Johnie Griffith didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Codroy. Frances Fortune showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamaal McNeal, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Val Heller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Johnie Griffith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Codroy's Francis Davila got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
