Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ron Grimes started the match with the kick off. In the 2ndth minute of the game Jason Harper who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Debert's Rico Bryan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 7 minutes, Chris Cordova mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Markstay and the Debert players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Markstay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Cordova to maneuver through the defense. Keenan McHugh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ron Grimes's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Ron Grimes made a precise shot to the right of Keenan McHugh. Markstay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Rico Bryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jason Harper in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenton Brandt in the 19th minute of play forced Debert's goalkeeper Rico Bryan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rico Bryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jason Harper in the 23rd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Kelly Schaefer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Debert's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Markstay the free kick. After 56 played minutes Debert got a freekick which was hit by Kelly Schaefer. Markstay's Brenton Brandt managed to work through Debert's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Brenton Brandt dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The crowd rose to their feet as Jason Harper kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rico Bryan. That made the score 1-1 in the 59 minute of play. The attack was good, but when Jason Harper in the 62nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The supporters of Markstay booed when Debert was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garfield Kessler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rico Bryan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jason Harper showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 68 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Markstay's Brenton Brandt got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 78th minute, Markstay's Jason Harper dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. In the 82nd minute Kyle Wood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keenan McHugh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keenan McHugh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Grimes, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Kyle Wood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keenan McHugh having to interfere. Rico Bryan came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Markstay's Brenton Brandt. But to his dismay, Brenton Brandt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Markstay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
