The audience was convinced that Houston Huggins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kirby Champagne was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Kirby Champagne came out of the goal and Dario Plourde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Richard Carmona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albertville FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Carmona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kirby Champagne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Carmona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Kirby Champagne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Richard Carmona notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Hatton FC's Kirby Champagne. Kirby Champagne was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 39 played minutes Hatton FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Marleau. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Houston Huggins in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kirby Champagne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42ndth minute of the game Richard Carmona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hatton FC's Kirby Champagne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Vernon Burris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hatton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vernon Burris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Houston Huggins came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Albertville FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Houston Huggins couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Houston Huggins to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Albertville FC were awarded a corner. Enrique Pace went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Enrique Pace got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kirby Champagne quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Richard Carmona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Kirby Champagne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Hatton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Hurd to maneuver through the defense. Albertville FC's Enrique Pace was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kirby Champagne in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 77 played minutes Albertville FC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Pace. After a defensive mix-up in Albertville FC's zone, Vernon Burris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herbert Thomason came out of the goal and Vernon Burris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vernon Burris might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herbert Thomason. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vernon Burris ran back to his position shaking his head. Royal Carroll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Herbert Thomason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Albertville FC's goalkeeper Herbert Thomason, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chase Stephens during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chase Stephens hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
