In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hatton FC's goalkeeper Kirby Champagne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th match minute, Hatton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Marleau to maneuver through the defense. When Louis Guevara fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hatton FC's protests and gave Louis Guevara a yellow card for diving instead. Louis Guevara hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Alva Sexton scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kirby Champagne, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 22 minutes, Pedro Hurd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hatton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Hurd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Kirby Champagne managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Hixon FC's Alva Sexton fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Hixon FC's zone, Pedro Hurd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renaldo McCray came out of the goal and Pedro Hurd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renaldo McCray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Hurd, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute Vernon Burris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renaldo McCray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Dewayne Flint hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Hurd to strike the kick off in the second half. Neal Ortega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kirby Champagne having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alva Sexton in the 53rd minute of play forced Hatton FC's goalkeeper Kirby Champagne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renaldo McCray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Hurd in the 54th minute of play. Hatton FC's Vernon Burris got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Alva Sexton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Kirby Champagne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Vernon Burris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kirby Champagne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theodore Comer, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Vernon Burris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alva Sexton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Pedro Hurd fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Renaldo McCray, passed just outside the right post. Vernon Burris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vernon Burris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renaldo McCray having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Louis Guevara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renaldo McCray. Hixon FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Louis Guevara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hatton FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hixon FC.
