Acme FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Georges Crain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darius Fluet in the 27th minute of play forced Cadillac's goalkeeper Matt Kurtz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theron Clements sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilford Colvin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Theron Clements had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Theron Clements received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Garret Burgess tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilford Colvin in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Garret Burgess prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Acme FC's Darius Fluet got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th match minute, Acme FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brock Cherry to maneuver through the defense. Theron Clements struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Garret Burgess didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cadillac. In the 90th minute, Wilford Colvin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cadillac's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fritz Stapleton was slow to take the kick. During this time Acme FC's players had a chance to rest. Acme FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
