Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) Heaslip's Antone Charles started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, one of Heaslip:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Heaslip. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antone Charles in the 11th minute of play forced Fairview's goalkeeper Denny Becerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Fairview's goalie and right to Spencer Hinson. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Fairview's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Denny Becerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antone Charles in the 19th minute of play. When Fairview's Armando Guertin in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Guertin during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th minute, Elvis McKee ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denny Becerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. During the 42nd minute of the match Armando Guertin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Armando Guertin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 43rd match minute, Fairview was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Guertin to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dee Avalos made a kick off. A collision led to Fairview getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Russ Dwyer hit a great ball. Antone Charles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denny Becerra having to interfere. Heaslip's Robby Dolan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Heaslip from getting a goal against them. Antone Charles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Heaslip's Robby Dolan got control of the ball when Dee Avalos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dee Avalos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robby Dolan having to interfere. If Elvis McKee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
