An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvis McKee in the 3rd minute of play forced Nuwata FC's goalkeeper Carson Burt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robby Dolan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mickey Butler showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. When Richard Winston fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nuwata FC's protests and gave Richard Winston a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Nuwata FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Winston to maneuver through the defense. After 11 played minutes, Heaslip's Isaiah Brower shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carson Burt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Heaslip reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elvis McKee in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carson Burt saved Nuwata FC from getting behind. With 16 minutes on the clock, Byron Tackett commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 20th minute, Antone Charles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Heaslip fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Elvis McKee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Carson Burt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mason Bernard's late challenge caught a Heaslip's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mason Bernard helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Heaslip booed when Nuwata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mason Bernard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jermaine Shapiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Darren Hanson to make the kick off. If Elvis McKee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darren Hanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Robby Dolan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute Antone Charles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carson Burt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Antone Charles dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carson Burt, 3-2. Nuwata FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
