Spectators: 6743 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Theo Herring started the match with the kick off. Noel Manley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Elias Sellers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Richelieu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Manley came free, but Elias Sellers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerrold Quinones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Colby Bermudez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Noel Manley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canyon AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Manley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Sellers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 16 minutes, Jamie Beverly made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Richelieu FC's Elias Sellers tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Noel Manley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Sellers having to interfere. Colby Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Herring in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canyon AFC's goalkeeper Colby Bermudez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jamie Beverly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Noel Manley notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Richelieu FC's Elias Sellers. Elias Sellers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jamie Beverly to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Richelieu FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Tony Leal hit a great ball. Herman Deschamps's late challenge caught a Canyon AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herman Deschamps helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Richelieu FC's Herman Deschamps got a free kick in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jamie Beverly in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Sellers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jamie Beverly struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Elias Sellers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canyon AFC. After 66 played minutes Richelieu FC got a freekick which was hit by Ignace Wolfe. In the 68th minute, Canyon AFC's Jamie Beverly ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elias Sellers. Elias Sellers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. After having played for 76 minutes, Noel Manley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canyon AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Manley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Theo Herring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richelieu FC's Elias Sellers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamie Beverly in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Canyon AFC booed when Richelieu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lyndon Newman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Canyon AFC played a much better game than Richelieu FC and deserved their victory. The Richelieu FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
