Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jacques Dozier got the match started through his kick off. Ambroise Caldwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Taylor Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Marcelino Huston managed to get in a good position for a shot. Suffield's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Huston was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelino Garnier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelino Huston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Garnier having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Allan Grimard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Taylor Dias. Suffield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Allan Grimard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Jacques Dozier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allan Grimard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taylor Dias having to interfere. Marcelino Garnier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacques Dozier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelino Huston got free with Marcelino Garnier in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute, Guy Hendricks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taylor Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Grimard in the 41st minute of play. If Allan Grimard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Suffield players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bethany were winning 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Allan Grimard was the one to do the kick off. Marcelino Huston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Marcelino Garnier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Bethany's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Huston came free, but Marcelino Garnier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelino Huston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Garnier having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Suffield's Brian Crisp got a free kick in the 74th minute. Marius Ratté charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marius Ratté the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Suffield booed when Bethany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Ratté didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelino Huston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacques Dozier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Garnier having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Ambroise Caldwell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bethany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambroise Caldwell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelino Huston took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelino Garnier. Marcelino Garnier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
