James Dostie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alva Prather went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Lucius Lanteigne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. James Dostie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucius Lanteigne's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. James Dostie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alva Prather in the 19th minute of the match. Alva Prather fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Dostie having to interfere. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Alva Prather sped through Tracadie FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of James Dostie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alva Prather in the 27th minute of play forced Tracadie FC's goalkeeper James Dostie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loyd Banks's late challenge caught a Sicamous FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Loyd Banks helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd match minute, Tracadie FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loyd Banks to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Alva Prather ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. James Dostie was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tracadie FC's goalkeeper James Dostie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Alva Prather had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of James Dostie. Tracadie FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alva Prather was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. When Gil McClain fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tracadie FC's protests and gave Gil McClain a yellow card for diving instead. In the 50th minute there was a penalty for Sicamous FC. Edmundo Bonsaint stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving James Dostie. 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cecil Pritchard was the one to do the kick off. When Lucius Lanteigne came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Sicamous FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucius Lanteigne couldn't finish the play. Lucius Lanteigne's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, James Dostie skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tracadie FC's James Dostie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alva Prather in the 62nd minute of play. If Lucius Lanteigne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Tracadie FC's Elwood Crow got a free kick in the 69th minute. Tracadie FC's James Dostie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alva Prather in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tracadie FC's zone, Lucius Lanteigne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. James Dostie came out of the goal and Lucius Lanteigne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, Tracadie FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alva Prather came free, but James Dostie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Rosendo Nesbitt notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Sicamous FC's Shad McGinnis. Shad McGinnis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th minute, Cecil Pritchard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the last second James Dostie throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alva Prather in the 95thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alva Prather in the 98th minute of play forced Tracadie FC's goalkeeper James Dostie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rosendo Nesbitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sicamous FC played a much better game than Tracadie FC and deserved their victory. The Tracadie FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
