Scot Compton charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Scot Compton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, one of Bethany:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bethany. The referee gave Tracadie FC a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Shane Thorne, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bethany's Marcelino Garnier. 1-1. James Dostie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Grimard in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cecil Pritchard to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Tracadie FC's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Grimard came free, but James Dostie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Bethany's goalkeeper Marcelino Garnier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rosendo Nesbitt. Marcelino Garnier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecil Pritchard in the 60th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Rosendo Nesbitt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelino Garnier. The supporters of Tracadie FC booed when Bethany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rico Hutchinson didn't get a good kick on the ball.
