Midway's Werner Terry proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Midway from getting a goal against them. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bethany! In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Midway. Elmo Sands stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcelino Garnier. 0-1. Bethany's Marcelino Garnier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Coleman Drew in the 16th minute of play. Ambroise Caldwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ambroise Caldwell came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Bethany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambroise Caldwell couldn't finish the play. Ambroise Caldwell struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Werner Terry didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bethany. 28 minutes into the game, Richie Dillon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Midway's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bethany the free kick. In the 28th match minute, Midway was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richie Dillon to maneuver through the defense. Bethany's Marcelino Garnier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilton Blackmon in the 38th minute of play. Ambroise Caldwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Werner Terry having to interfere. Ambroise Caldwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 minutes of play, Midway's Hilton Blackmon made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelino Garnier was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hilton Blackmon to strike the kick off in the second half. Coleman Drew recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelino Garnier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilton Blackmon in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Marius Ratté was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bethany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Midway the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bethany's Marius Ratté got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Hilton Blackmon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hilton Blackmon came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Midway fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilton Blackmon couldn't finish the play. Marcelino Garnier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hilton Blackmon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rico Hutchinson might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Werner Terry. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rico Hutchinson ran back to his position shaking his head. 81 minutes into the match, Bethany's goal looked a bit too open when Hilton Blackmon came free, but Marcelino Garnier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richie Dillon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Marcelino Garnier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Midway's zone, Ambroise Caldwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Werner Terry came out of the goal and Ambroise Caldwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Bethany lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
