Spectators: 6715 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sung McFarland got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th minute, Paris Johnston fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kevin Tabor, passed just outside the right post. 11 minutes into the game, Edgar Moran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. August Perkins was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the match, Oromocto's goal looked a bit too open when Ross Morrow came free, but August Perkins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Sung McFarland kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kevin Tabor. That made the score 1-1 in the 17 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Oromocto's zone, Edgar Moran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. August Perkins came out of the goal and Edgar Moran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute Ross Morrow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Perkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Sung McFarland kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kevin Tabor. That made the score 2-1 in the 23 minute of play. Kevin Tabor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paris Johnston showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 33 minute of play. August Perkins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ross Morrow's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 44th minute, Ross Morrow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edward Branch charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edward Branch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Moshe Horton from long distance, 48 minutes into the match, got Kevin Tabor's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ross Morrow made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sherbrook AFC booed when Oromocto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Fugère didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Moran took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised August Perkins. August Perkins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Sung McFarland scored 4-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kevin Tabor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Moran got free with August Perkins in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Oromocto's zone, Edgar Moran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. August Perkins came out of the goal and Edgar Moran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Edgar Moran sped through Oromocto's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of August Perkins. Aurelio Duke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevin Tabor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paris Johnston in the 85th minute of play. Edgar Moran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without August Perkins having to interfere. In the 89th minute Ross Morrow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Perkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Oromocto's Sung McFarland in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sherbrook AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 94th minute, Theirn Spicer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Paris Johnston came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Oromocto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paris Johnston couldn't finish the play. Oromocto's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
