After 6 minutes, Rory Beam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oromocto and the Otterburne AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Oromocto:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Otterburne AFC:s goal. 9 minutes into the game, Alvin Doran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Otterburne AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oromocto the free kick. 15 minutes into the match, Otterburne AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sung McFarland came free, but Donatien Mainville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 17 played minutes Otterburne AFC got a freekick which was hit by Chong Rivas. Paris Johnston struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Donatien Mainville didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oromocto. Donatien Mainville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paris Johnston, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The supporters of Otterburne AFC booed when Oromocto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moshe Horton didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 28 in the game by Chung Wolf from a close distance when the talented August Perkins managed to make a qualified save. Oromocto's players were relieved. Oromocto's Paris Johnston got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chung Wolf struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. August Perkins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Otterburne AFC. In the 40th minute, Bryon Herman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute Paris Johnston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donatien Mainville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bryon Herman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. August Perkins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvin Doran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Chung Wolf came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Otterburne AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chung Wolf couldn't finish the play. Paris Johnston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Donatien Mainville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57thth minute of the game Sung McFarland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Otterburne AFC's Donatien Mainville was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute Sung McFarland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donatien Mainville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Oromocto getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Florian Dupre hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Oromocto's zone, Irving Fortune stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. August Perkins came out of the goal and Irving Fortune tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Otterburne AFC booed when Oromocto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rex Berry didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute Otterburne AFC were awarded a corner. Irving Fortune went to the cornerflag to take it. When Chung Wolf came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Otterburne AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chung Wolf couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moshe Horton in the 86th minute of play forced Otterburne AFC's goalkeeper Donatien Mainville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86thth minute of the game Moshe Horton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Otterburne AFC's Donatien Mainville was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the Otterburne AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
