In the 48th minute, Gaétan Hensley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emery Hurley to make the kick off. Armando Riel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Nazaire Bloom made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dewey Hutchinson in the 57th minute of play forced Labrieville AFC's goalkeeper William Herbert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rayford Jorgensen during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Gunworth's Nazaire Bloom got control of the ball when Armando Riel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87thth minute of the game Emery Hurley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Labrieville AFC's William Herbert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gunworth's zone, César Weber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nazaire Bloom came out of the goal and César Weber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Nazaire Bloom managed to avoid a goal in the 98thth minute, when Labrieville AFC's Armando Riel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Labrieville AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
