Spectators: 6712 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hobert Clay kicked off to start the match. Nazaire Bloom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcellin Epperson in the 3rd minute of play. In the 11th minute, Emery Hurley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute, Hobert Clay made a precise shot to the right of Nazaire Bloom. Gunworth's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The long shot by Rayford Jorgensen in the 21st minute really tested Gavin Klein's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Marcellin Epperson took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nazaire Bloom. Nazaire Bloom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Gavin Klein was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emery Hurley showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 29 minute of play. In the 31st minute Antoine Laird suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Gaétan Hensley fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunworth's protests and gave Gaétan Hensley a yellow card for diving instead. Gaétan Hensley hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. A collision led to Gunworth getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Rayford Jorgensen hit a great ball. In the 36th match minute, Gunworth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaétan Hensley to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Hobbema AFC's German Pelletier broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dewey Hutchinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Hobbema AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Emery Hurley came free, but Gavin Klein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emery Hurley to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 57 minutes, Hobert Clay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hobbema AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hobert Clay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcellin Epperson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Nazaire Bloom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Emery Hurley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavin Klein having to make a save. Gavin Klein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dewey Hutchinson in the 68th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gunworth's zone, Marcellin Epperson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nazaire Bloom came out of the goal and Marcellin Epperson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emery Hurley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jeremiah Khan came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Hobbema AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremiah Khan couldn't finish the play. Marcellin Epperson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nazaire Bloom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erick Bowling during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hobbema AFC booed when Gunworth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erick Bowling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimmie Oakley kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Emery Hurley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gunworth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Emery Hurley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Hobbema AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hobbema AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
