The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Sandspit FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dapp AFC:s goal. The referee gave Dapp AFC a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jospeh Hyatt, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sandspit FC's Grégoire Rosas. 1-0. A collision led to Dapp AFC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Clint Sneed hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Dapp AFC's Jospeh Hyatt got a free kick in the 17th minute. Clayton Boudreaux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jae Dumas having to interfere. Clayton Boudreaux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Dapp AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Clayton Boudreaux came free, but Jae Dumas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Cutler might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grégoire Rosas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pablo Cutler ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd match minute, Dapp AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Grady to maneuver through the defense. In the 35thth minute of the game Clayton Boudreaux who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dapp AFC's Jae Dumas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Clint Sneed was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. Dapp AFC's Jae Dumas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clayton Boudreaux in the 37th minute of play. If Pablo Cutler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clayton Boudreaux stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Grégoire Rosas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Cutler in the 53rd minute of the match. Nicholas Smiley kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Chi McMahon charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chi McMahon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sandspit FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Chi McMahon hit a great ball. Clayton Boudreaux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jae Dumas having to interfere. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sandspit FC's goalkeeper Grégoire Rosas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pablo Cutler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Grégoire Rosas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Clayton Boudreaux came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Sandspit FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clayton Boudreaux couldn't finish the play. Grégoire Rosas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Cutler in the 79th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Dapp AFC got a freekick which was hit by Royal Bouchard. When the match had been going on for 85 minutes, Sandspit FC's Emery Orozco got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jae Dumas. In the 92nd minute Royal Bouchard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grégoire Rosas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes, Romain Dyer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dapp AFC and the Sandspit FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
