Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kip Stovall got the match started through his kick off. In the 8th minute Mario Dudley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Esquivel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Terry Souplet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Walker Barker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maitland's Walker Barker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kip Stovall in the 15th minute of play. Terry Souplet took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walker Barker. Walker Barker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Terry Souplet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walker Barker was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Maitland's Walker Barker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kip Stovall in the 24th minute of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Kip Stovall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strathlorne AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kip Stovall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Elbert Bruner fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Strathlorne AFC's protests and gave Elbert Bruner a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Strathlorne AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bryan Stearns. Joshua Crocker kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Freeman Boyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xavier Dowdy hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Kip Stovall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 44 minutes, Paul Morris mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maitland and the Strathlorne AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Maitland got a freekick which was hit by Paul Morris. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maitland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Matthieu Brennan was slow to take the kick. During this time Strathlorne AFC's players had a chance to rest. The Maitland players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Strathlorne AFC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Dudley to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Mario Dudley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Esquivel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Freeman Boyer came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Maitland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freeman Boyer couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the match, Strathlorne AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Freeman Boyer came free, but Ismael Esquivel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kip Stovall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Walker Barker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mario Dudley came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Maitland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Dudley couldn't finish the play. The referee gave Maitland a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Paul Morris, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Strathlorne AFC's Ismael Esquivel. 1-1. Maitland's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
