After having played for 7 minutes, Joey Kiser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gerard Bousquet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cedric Marsh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Lindbergh FC's Jefferson Dempsey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rich Arias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 16 played minutes Lindbergh FC got a freekick which was hit by Jefferson Dempsey. Joey Kiser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerard Bousquet in the 21st minute of play forced Lindbergh FC's goalkeeper Cedric Marsh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cedric Marsh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Bousquet in the 25th minute of the match. Rich Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Echols, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Jefferson Dempsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rich Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gerard Bousquet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cedric Marsh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerard Bousquet, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicolas Echols stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Onesime Novak kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Lindbergh FC's Elton Redding couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Elphinstone AFC. In the 59th minute, Joey Kiser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodrick Laberge kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Rich Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Echols, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Nicolas Echols fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rich Arias having to interfere. Joey Kiser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Cedric Marsh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Joey Kiser had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cedric Marsh. Lindbergh FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joey Kiser was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Lindbergh FC's Jefferson Dempsey got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Joey Kiser came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Elphinstone AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joey Kiser couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Echols fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rich Arias having to interfere. Alexis Nolan hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Gerard Bousquet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
