Bruno's Gayle Olson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Dudley in the 11th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Absolon Velazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gayle Olson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Dudley in the 14th minute of play. Freeman Boyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Constantin Hinson fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Bruno's Gayle Olson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mario Dudley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gayle Olson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Garth Rainey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bruno's supporters rose to their feet, but Garth Rainey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walker Barker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Garth Rainey took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walker Barker. Walker Barker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 40 minutes of play, Maitland's Mario Dudley made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gayle Olson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Eloy Simpson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bruno's supporters rose to their feet, but Eloy Simpson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walker Barker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Bruno players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maitland were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eloy Simpson was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Bruno's Fidel Reese got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Mario Dudley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Eloy Simpson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walker Barker was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Freeman Boyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Mario Dudley reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gayle Olson. The goal made the score 2-3. Gayle Olson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Dudley, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
