Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eldon Hunt took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rod Bruneau took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Johnny Epperson. Hondo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eldon Hunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the match, Fusilier FC's Eldon Hunt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnny Epperson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hondo's Johnny Epperson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eldon Hunt in the 9th minute of play. If Jean Coupart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rocky Rutherford made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Weston Ervin sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Eldon Hunt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fusilier FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eldon Hunt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Epperson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Weston Ervin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rocky Rutherford having to interfere. The corner led Hondo's Otto Gillespie to fire away a dangerous shot which Rocky Rutherford despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fusilier FC's zone, Truman Lawson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rocky Rutherford came out of the goal and Truman Lawson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Fusilier FC's Rocky Rutherford got control of the ball when Weston Ervin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Weston Ervin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fusilier FC's Rocky Rutherford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Truman Lawson in the 45th minute of play. If Truman Lawson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Truman Lawson to make the kick off. Hondo's Johnny Epperson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Hondo from getting a goal against them. In the 60thth minute of the game Truman Lawson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fusilier FC's Rocky Rutherford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Jarrett Stoner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hondo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fusilier FC the free kick. Jarrett Stoner kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 75th minute Truman Lawson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rocky Rutherford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Weston Ervin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hondo's supporters rose to their feet, but Weston Ervin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rocky Rutherford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute, Andy Flores hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jarrett Stoner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute.
