Herbert Tipton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Papillion McClain fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Busby FC's protests and gave Papillion McClain a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Busby FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Papillion McClain hit a great ball. Rickey Pool made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Tom Vera sent off a good shot on target. Lindsey Leach struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Rickey Pool didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dugwal AFC. In the 27th minute Lindsey Leach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickey Pool saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Busby FC's Rickey Pool proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Busby FC from getting a goal against them. Elias Purcell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Trey Fecteau. Dugwal AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tom Vera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Rickey Pool tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carrol Park was the one to do the kick off. Busby FC's Rickey Pool played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lindsey Leach in the 52nd minute of play. Carrol Park sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armand Fish kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. If Lindsey Leach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carrol Park received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Trey Fecteau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Tom Vera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dugwal AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Carrol Park kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Trey Fecteau. That made the score 2-1 in the 87 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbert Tipton got free with Trey Fecteau in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dugwal AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
