Penzance AFC's Fredric Cantrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Truman Lawson in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Penzance AFC's Hugues Beach got a free kick in the 21st minute. Fredric Cantrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Truman Lawson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calvin Holcomb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Johnny Epperson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Truman Lawson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Calvin Holcomb's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Johnny Epperson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 75th minute, Truman Lawson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fredric Cantrell was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brock Mobley in the 82nd minute of play forced Hondo's goalkeeper Johnny Epperson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Brock Mobley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Hondo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Calvin Holcomb fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Brock Mobley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Brock Mobley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Epperson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noe Saucedo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Hondo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
