Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Truman Lawson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Churchill's zone, Truman Lawson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hubert Aucoin came out of the goal and Truman Lawson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Hondo's Truman Lawson got a free kick in the 8th minute. If Weston Ervin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Nolan Murdock took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Johnny Epperson to make any attempt to save it. Hector Moss did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Johnny Epperson 31 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nolan Murdock stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Hondo booed when Churchill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmad Odonnell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnny Epperson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hector Moss's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Johnny Epperson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nolan Murdock went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Weston Ervin in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hubert Aucoin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Géraud Funk hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Nolan Murdock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Epperson having to interfere. Hector Moss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Hondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valéry Charette to maneuver through the defense. Johnny Epperson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nolan Murdock, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Hector Moss struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Johnny Epperson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Churchill. After having played for 86 minutes, Hector Moss managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Churchill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Moss was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hondo's Johnny Epperson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nolan Murdock in the 88th minute of play. Valéry Charette's late challenge caught a Churchill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valéry Charette helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hondo! The referee gave Churchill a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Géraud Funk, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hondo's Johnny Epperson. 5-0. Weston Ervin in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hubert Aucoin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Churchill walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
