In the 16th minute, Franklin Holcomb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute of the match, Lupe Elmore tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Riley Doyon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kennith Crowe's late challenge caught a Bashaw's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kennith Crowe helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bashaw booed when Lively AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kennith Crowe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Bashaw's Derrick Carrasco tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Denis Belisle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Riley Doyon having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Chauvet was the one to do the kick off. After 62 played minutes Bashaw got a freekick which was hit by Derrick Carrasco. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lacy Gallo got free with Malik Pickett in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Lively AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Kendall Hachée hit a great ball. Lacy Gallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Malik Pickett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Belisle in the 70th minute of play forced Bashaw's goalkeeper Riley Doyon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malik Pickett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lacy Gallo in the 77th minute. If André Chauvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Lacy Gallo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Kendall Hachée hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malik Pickett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Chauvet in the 98th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bashaw had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
