In the 15thth minute of the game Moses Robbins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Waterville AFC's Kermit Durham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeramy Hines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Beaver in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Shenacadle AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Talley to maneuver through the defense. Max Beaver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeramy Hines having to interfere. Malik Ivey kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Max Beaver in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeramy Hines saved Shenacadle AFC from getting behind. Fidel Miles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 minutes of play, Waterville AFC's Max Beaver made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeramy Hines was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pat Oakley kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, Waterville AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darrell Salas to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Waterville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hubert Boulanger came free, but Kermit Durham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shenacadle AFC's Matt Talley suffered a fractured collar bone after 48 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Boyce Vernon's late challenge caught a Shenacadle AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 58th minute, Hubert Boulanger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeramy Hines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Miles in the 65th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes Shenacadle AFC got a freekick which was hit by Robby Dupuis. Shenacadle AFC's Jeramy Hines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Beaver in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Malik Ivey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Malik Ivey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Fidel Miles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Waterville AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Waterville AFC had won after a very even match.
