Rothesay FC's Grant Leonard got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grant Leonard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donn Courtney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Erick Ross hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jourdain McDaniel fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catalina AFC's protests and gave Jourdain McDaniel a yellow card for diving instead. When Sang Weston fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After 17 played minutes Catalina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sang Weston. 20 minutes into the game, Isidro Myles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catalina AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rothesay FC the free kick. A collision led to Catalina AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Isidro Myles hit a great ball. Donn Courtney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thaddeus Dick in the 26th minute of the match. The supporters of Rothesay FC booed when Catalina AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pasquale Brewer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Catalina AFC! The goalkeeper, Donn Courtney, was totally fooled by Rothesay FC's Carey Blalock, who 37 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 51st match minute, Rothesay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Mock to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the game, Gérald Marks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 69th minute Thaddeus Dick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donn Courtney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 72 minutes, Freddy McNair managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catalina AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddy McNair was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sang Weston kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Grant Leonard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thaddeus Dick in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donn Courtney saved Catalina AFC from getting behind. Will Kearney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gérald Marks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Grant Leonard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rothesay FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. A collision led to Rothesay FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Oliver Mock hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carey Blalock during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 88 minutes into the game, one of Rothesay FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Catalina AFC. Isidro Myles stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Will Kearney. 2-1. 94 minutes into the match, Catalina AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Thaddeus Dick came free, but Donn Courtney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddy McNair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Will Kearney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rothesay FC's Will Kearney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gérald Marks in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rothesay FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Catalina AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
