Sherwood Dailey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barton Winter having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Chatfield FC's Joey Zamora got a free kick in the 5th minute. Barton Winter made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Fidel Miles sent off a good shot on target. Kermit Durham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedict Allain in the 9th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes, Chatfield FC's Felipe Arias shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kermit Durham came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chatfield FC reached it. Kelvin Maurer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kermit Durham having to interfere. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Waterville AFC's goalkeeper Kermit Durham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Max Beaver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Max Beaver's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Barton Winter was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the match, Waterville AFC's Scotty McCloud broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Benedict Allain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kermit Durham having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Chatfield FC's Kelvin Maurer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kermit Durham made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Chatfield FC's Benedict Allain got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Chatfield FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Fidel Miles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Barton Winter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Benedict Allain made a precise shot to the right of Kermit Durham. Waterville AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 69th minute, Max Beaver made a precise shot to the right of Barton Winter. Chatfield FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 74thth minute of the game Fidel Miles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chatfield FC's Barton Winter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 78 minutes, Joey Zamora mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chatfield FC and the Waterville AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chatfield FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Joey Zamora hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Miles in the 80th minute of play forced Chatfield FC's goalkeeper Barton Winter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Chatfield FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
