In the 9th minute, Wilbert Bernstein got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Wilbert Bernstein sped through Catalina AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Donn Courtney. Wilbert Bernstein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Donn Courtney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Catalina AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! Dion Pariseau shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Donn Courtney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilbert Bernstein in the 32nd minute of play. Cristobal Hurst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donn Courtney having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilbert Bernstein in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donn Courtney saved Catalina AFC from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gérald Marks made a kick off. When Gérald Marks fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catalina AFC's protests and gave Gérald Marks a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Catalina AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Gérald Marks hit a great ball. In the 58th minute Wilbert Bernstein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donn Courtney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Cristobal Hurst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Cristobal Hurst reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Donn Courtney. The goal made the score 0-3. Catalina AFC's Donn Courtney proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Catalina AFC from getting a goal against them. The Bradford AFC fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Bradford AFC's Wilbert Bernstein looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Freddy McNair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Camille Darling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wilbert Bernstein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristobal Hurst's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donn Courtney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Catalina AFC's Donn Courtney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilbert Bernstein in the 87th minute of play. Donn Courtney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilbert Bernstein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristobal Hurst's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Donn Courtney firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Catalina AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bradford AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
