Spectators: 6734 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 0) Chatfield FC's Kelvin Maurer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Barton Winter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Chauvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lacy Gallo in the 9th minute of play forced Chatfield FC's goalkeeper Barton Winter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dewayne Ménard during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dewayne Ménard kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Barton Winter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Chauvet, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. André Chauvet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lacy Gallo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bashaw's André Chauvet got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Lacy Gallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Bashaw's André Chauvet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barton Winter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Bashaw's Riley Doyon got control of the ball when Benedict Allain tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lacy Gallo might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barton Winter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lacy Gallo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th match minute, Bashaw was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Chauvet to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Kelvin Maurer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Riley Doyon was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The Chatfield FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bashaw were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Chauvet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lacy Gallo got free with Barton Winter in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lacy Gallo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Barton Winter having to make a save. Barton Winter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Chauvet in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Bashaw was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derrick Carrasco to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Chatfield FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Chauvet came free, but Barton Winter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, André Chauvet reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Barton Winter. The goal made the score 0-2. In the 93rd minute Benedict Allain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Riley Doyon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
