Spectators: 6715 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Garland Duff got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, one of Hondo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 4th minute there was a penalty for Waterford AFC. Barthélémy Duclos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Corin McKay. 0-1. In the 8th minute Garland Duff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corin McKay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 9 minutes, George Gomez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waterford AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Gomez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esmé Huff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Hondo fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Hondo's Esmé Huff looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 27th minute Garland Duff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corin McKay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Esmé Huff managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hondo's supporters rose to their feet, but Esmé Huff was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blaise Wheeler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The attack was good, but when Winston Elder in the 35th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 39th minute, Winston Elder made a precise shot to the right of Blaise Wheeler. Waterford AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. A collision led to Hondo getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Sebastian Crowley hit a great ball. Winston Elder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esmé Huff to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Winston Elder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Esmé Huff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Blaise Wheeler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Waterford AFC's George Gomez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corin McKay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. When George Gomez came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Waterford AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Gomez couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Esmé Huff managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hondo's supporters rose to their feet, but Esmé Huff was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blaise Wheeler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Waterford AFC's Herb Begin got a free kick in the 71st minute. Winston Elder struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Blaise Wheeler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hondo. Winston Elder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Blaise Wheeler having to make a save. A collision led to Waterford AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Seth Gladu hit a great ball. After 89 played minutes Waterford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Seth Gladu. Esmé Huff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaise Wheeler having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Garland Duff reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Corin McKay. The goal made the score 2-3.
