Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the match, Hondo's goal looked a bit too open when Willard Thorpe came free, but Corin McKay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hondo's Sebastian Crowley got a free kick in the 6th minute. Corin McKay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrice Cummins in the 10th minute of the match. Spencer Gleason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Winston Elder took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pierre Bland. Pierre Bland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 26th minute Spencer Gleason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corin McKay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spencer Gleason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastian Crowley hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When Georges Odonnell fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hondo's protests and gave Georges Odonnell a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Georges Odonnell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35thth minute of the game Spencer Gleason who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hondo's Corin McKay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Saskatoon FC's Fabrice Cummins in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hondo's goalie prevented a goal. When Georges Odonnell was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. Georges Odonnell kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match.

In the 57th minute, one of Hondo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hondo. Corin McKay was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Fabrice Cummins capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabrice Cummins really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 68th minute Fabrice Cummins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corin McKay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Hondo's Corin McKay got control of the ball when Spencer Gleason tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute Fabrice Cummins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corin McKay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-3 became the score in the 81st minute when Fabrice Cummins elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Winston Elder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hondo's supporters rose to their feet, but Winston Elder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pierre Bland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Winston Elder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Pierre Bland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Saskatoon FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
