Villemontel's Jeremiah Dietz got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Jeremiah Dietz put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Danny Horner. With his leg Elijah Bertrand managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Hartell's Salvatore Minton fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 21 minutes into the match, Hartell's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Jarrett came free, but Danny Horner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Moises Scales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danny Horner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Alford in the 30th minute of play. Jeremiah Dietz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Horner having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richard Jarrett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Salvatore Minton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hartell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvatore Minton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Villemontel's goal looked a bit too open when Salvatore Minton came free, but Elijah Bertrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grant Cano hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Elijah Bertrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Means, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The Hartell fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Hartell's Roland Means looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Herbert White hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Means in the 79th minute of play forced Villemontel's goalkeeper Elijah Bertrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Burton Cook hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neil Alford, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 84 minutes in the game, Richard Jarrett fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Danny Horner having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Godelieve Hawthorne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Lowe's late challenge caught a Villemontel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julio Lowe helped the player get up and apologised. Julio Lowe hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. A hard shot 92 in the game by Jeremiah Dietz from a close distance when the talented Danny Horner managed to make a qualified save. Hartell's players were relieved. Elijah Bertrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Means, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Scottie Burkhart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Villemontel left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hartell.
