Richard Jarrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filiberto Hay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Jarrett in the 11th minute of the match. Joan Edmonds struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Elijah Bertrand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ochiltree. After a rather tough play, Villemontel's Herbert White got a free kick in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Joan Edmonds cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Elijah Bertrand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Ochiltree's René Leduc got a free kick in the 21st minute. Neil Alford took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Filiberto Hay. Ochiltree's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 24th minute Joan Edmonds shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elijah Bertrand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. René Leduc hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Ochiltree's Filiberto Hay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Ochiltree from getting a goal against them. Villemontel's Elijah Bertrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bill McKenzie in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Villemontel getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ira Willoughby hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Villemontel's goal looked a bit too open when Bill McKenzie came free, but Elijah Bertrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joan Edmonds had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Ochiltree were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joan Edmonds was the one to do the kick off. Bill McKenzie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elijah Bertrand having to make a save. If Joan Edmonds had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Villemontel's Jeremiah Dietz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filiberto Hay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 65 minutes into the game, Joan Edmonds recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elijah Bertrand. Joan Edmonds showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Elijah Bertrand was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Joan Edmonds capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joan Edmonds really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. When Ochiltree's Joan Edmonds in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villemontel's goalie prevented a goal. Richard Jarrett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Filiberto Hay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Jeremiah Dietz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villemontel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremiah Dietz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 minutes, René Leduc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ochiltree and the Villemontel players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ochiltree's René Leduc got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Bill McKenzie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeremiah Dietz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Hay having to interfere. Ochiltree's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
