Jimmy Thomas ran back to his position shaking his head. If Dominick Shelton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes Saskatoon FC got a freekick which was hit by Eldon Lemieux. Kirriemuir's Roberto Murphy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrice Cummins in the 87th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Saskatoon FC's Fabrice Cummins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roberto Murphy narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
