Seating: 1751, VIP seats: 0) Jimmy Thomas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Kirriemuir booed when Saskatoon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Clarke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Murphy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrice Cummins, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. If Dominick Shelton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimmy Thomas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Pierre Bland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Spencer Gleason came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Saskatoon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Spencer Gleason couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Saskatoon FC booed when Kirriemuir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timothy Perreault didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Spencer Gleason managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saskatoon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Spencer Gleason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Murphy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Kirriemuir's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrice Cummins came free, but Roberto Murphy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dominick Shelton came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Kirriemuir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominick Shelton couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute Jimmy Thomas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre Bland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 played minutes, Saskatoon FC's Ferdinand Schultz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roberto Murphy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Saskatoon FC reached it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When Spencer Gleason came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Saskatoon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Spencer Gleason couldn't finish the play. Roberto Murphy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrice Cummins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Carey kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Kirriemuir's goal looked a bit too open when Eldon Lemieux came free, but Roberto Murphy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimmy Thomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimmy Thomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Bland having to interfere. Fabrice Cummins took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roberto Murphy. Roberto Murphy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jimmy Thomas might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pierre Bland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jimmy Thomas ran back to his position shaking his head. If Dominick Shelton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes Saskatoon FC got a freekick which was hit by Eldon Lemieux. Kirriemuir's Roberto Murphy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrice Cummins in the 87th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Saskatoon FC's Fabrice Cummins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roberto Murphy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute Fabrice Cummins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Murphy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Kirriemuir players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Saskatoon FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
