After a defensive mix-up in Kirriemuir's zone, Grant Cano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Murphy came out of the goal and Grant Cano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dominick Shelton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. In the 30thth minute of the game Dominick Shelton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villemontel's Elijah Bertrand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jimmy Thomas struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Elijah Bertrand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kirriemuir. Ira Willoughby hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Dominick Shelton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jeremiah Dietz in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roberto Murphy, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ira Willoughby hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Elijah Bertrand was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jimmy Thomas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 63 minute of play. If Jimmy Thomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Villemontel booed when Kirriemuir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklyn Barrette didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neil Alford didn't quite understand what happened when in the 71 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. If Dominick Shelton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elijah Bertrand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jimmy Thomas's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 80thth minute of the game Jeremiah Dietz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kirriemuir's Roberto Murphy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Villemontel's Elijah Bertrand got control of the ball when Dominick Shelton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Richard Jarrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
