Edward Hargrove tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 played minutes Renews got a freekick which was hit by Danial McKay. Danial McKay who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Edward Hargrove when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Renews's goal looked a bit too open when Lothaire Hong came free, but Chi Coffman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Renews's Shane Duff got a free kick in the 17th minute. Danial McKay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Edward Hargrove made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Todd Weston ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chi Coffman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, Rorketon's Deon Berthelette got a free kick in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldo Simms in the 45th minute of play forced Rorketon's goalkeeper Edward Hargrove to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danial McKay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edward Hargrove read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Renews's zone, Todd Weston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chi Coffman came out of the goal and Todd Weston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lothaire Hong was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Renews's Chi Coffman got control of the ball when Todd Weston tried to sneak it across the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Rorketon's goal looked a bit too open when Waldo Simms came free, but Edward Hargrove reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute Danial McKay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Hargrove saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Hargrove took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danial McKay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Danial McKay made a precise shot to the right of Edward Hargrove. Rorketon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Renews's Danial McKay got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Todd Weston in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Chi Coffman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Lothaire Hong's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chi Coffman was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Renews's Shane Duff got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Lothaire Hong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renews were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rorketon for a fine match.
