Carmelo Timmons was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Boniface Avila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Golden's Stanton Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allen Krause in the 12th minute of play. Joesph Rowland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenic Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carmelo Timmons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Stanton Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Chamberlain's Carmelo Timmons ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stanton Koehler. Stanton Koehler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Golden getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ralph Mailly hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Timmons in the 37th minute of play forced Golden's goalkeeper Stanton Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Carmelo Timmons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Chamberlain's Carmelo Timmons in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Golden's goalie prevented a goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carmelo Timmons to make the kick off. Chamberlain's Joesph Rowland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Chamberlain from getting a goal against them. Stanton Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Timmons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Carmelo Timmons's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stanton Koehler was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boniface Avila in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanton Koehler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chamberlain had played much better football throughout.
