Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Régis Livingston took the kick off in the first half of the match. Trent Bourgeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Sylvester having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Albert Connelly got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Sombra AFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Hugues Lott hit a great ball. In the 7th minute, Albert Connelly left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shawbridge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Alvin Carlton put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tony Sylvester. After 17 played minutes, Sombra AFC's Elliott Suggs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tony Sylvester came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sombra AFC reached it. 20 minutes into the game, Murray Baron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shawbridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sombra AFC the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Shawbridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murray Baron to maneuver through the defense. After 23 minutes Shawbridge's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gérard Kane who took care of the corner kick. Shawbridge's Tony Sylvester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trent Bourgeau in the 24th minute of play. After 25 played minutes Shawbridge got a freekick which was hit by Dominique Mayer. Trent Bourgeau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Tony Sylvester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dominique Mayer fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shawbridge's protests and gave Dominique Mayer a yellow card for diving instead. Dominique Mayer kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Gérard Kane sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Shawbridge's Tony Sylvester didn't even have to move. 36 minutes into the match, Sombra AFC's goalkeeper Matt Reeder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dominique Mayer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Livingston in the 42nd minute of play forced Sombra AFC's goalkeeper Matt Reeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 minutes, Joseph Lovett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sombra AFC and the Shawbridge players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joseph Lovett hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute of the match Shawbridge got a corner. Sombra AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lonnie Gipson ran over to the corner to take the kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Albert Connelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Régis Livingston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matt Reeder having to interfere. Trent Bourgeau was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Régis Livingston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Shawbridge's Tony Sylvester got control of the ball when Alvin Carlton tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Sombra AFC booed when Shawbridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kris Veronneau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvin Carlton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Tony Sylvester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Régis Livingston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Matt Reeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Trent Bourgeau recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tony Sylvester. Trent Bourgeau showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 78th minute Alvin Carlton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Sylvester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute of the match Lonnie Gipson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matt Reeder showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Terence Glass kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Régis Livingston managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shawbridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Régis Livingston was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matt Reeder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Régis Livingston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Sombra AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Régis Livingston came free, but Matt Reeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Dominique Mayer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Shawbridge's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gérard Kane was slow to take the kick. During this time Sombra AFC's players had a chance to rest. After 96 played minutes Shawbridge got a freekick which was hit by Murray Baron. Sombra AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
