Jed Hargrove might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Avery Marquez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jed Hargrove ran back to his position shaking his head. Jed Hargrove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avery Marquez having to interfere. Rodrigue Edmonds kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Placentia's Shirley Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lemieux AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 41st minute, Joël Parsons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Placentia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jarvis Daigneault in the 44th minute. Edgar Dent's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Avery Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Edgar Dent cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Avery Marquez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgar Dent to make the kick off. Hayden Chen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Placentia booed when Lemieux AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayden Chen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beau Harden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trinidad Michaud in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Ralph Lay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgar Dent succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Beau Harden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trinidad Michaud, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lemieux AFC's goalkeeper Beau Harden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lemieux AFC's Beau Harden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trinidad Michaud in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Jed Hargrove managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lemieux AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jed Hargrove was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Avery Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lemieux AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
