Lemieux AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Dent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Sylvester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joël Parsons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 played minutes Shawbridge got a freekick which was hit by Trenton Miller. In the 17th minute, Edgar Dent left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lemieux AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Lemieux AFC booed when Shawbridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trenton Miller didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Dent was the one to do the kick off. Lemieux AFC's Beau Harden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Lemieux AFC from getting a goal against them. Jed Hargrove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Sylvester having to interfere. After 75 minutes, Dominique Mayer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shawbridge and the Lemieux AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edgar Dent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Beau Harden was a little too slow when Régis Livingston got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 99th minute. The score was now 1-1.
