After having played for 6 minutes, Trinidad Michaud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Placentia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trinidad Michaud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute, Barney Byers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Placentia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Homer Tardif took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trinidad Michaud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Placentia's Trinidad Michaud sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Homer Tardif narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Loic Barker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shirley Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Theo Ramey took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Homer Tardif. Bennett AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Placentia's Rodrigue Edmonds got a free kick in the 34th minute. Theo Ramey hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. When Loic Barker came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Bennett AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loic Barker couldn't finish the play. Avery Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alton Huerta in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trinidad Michaud in the 58th minute of play forced Bennett AFC's goalkeeper Homer Tardif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Loic Barker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Homer Tardif made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barney Byers in the 66th minute. Avery Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alton Huerta in the 67th minute of the match. Bennett AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Barney Byers scored to the left of an out of position Homer Tardif, making the score, 1-2. Barney Byers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Homer Tardif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alton Huerta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avery Marquez having to interfere. The Placentia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Placentia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
